GRASS FED GALLOWAY BEEF

Ecologically beneficial:

Nature designed ruminants like cattle to eat and digest forages like grass and weeds, not grain. They are meant to be a part of nature and it’s cycles, not separated from them. When we keep cattle on the land as they should be and manage their grazing, using holistic management techniques and permaculture principles, it regenerates ecosystems by building soils, sequestering carbon, and maintaining the natural water cycle. Galloways are “unrivaled” grazers. They naturally consume a wider variety of grasses and flora than other breeds making them the perfect breed for grass finishing systems.

Heart-Healthy Nutrition:

Galloway beef is lean and high in beneficial vitamins and nutrients. Research has shown it is low in saturated fat and high in Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, with a healthy ratio (often 3:1) that is comparable to salmon or chicken for heart and brain health.

Galloways “fatten from the inside out”. Unlike other breeds that produce a layer of fat to keep warm in the winter, Galloway and Galloway cross cattle have a thick dual hair coat which instead allows them to deposit fine flecks of intramuscular marbling, even on a 100% forage diet, resulting in beef that is consistently tender, juicy, and rich in flavor. Our Galloway cows are bred to a Red Angus Bull. This cross produces calves with the the best traits from both the Galloway and the Angus breed resulting in calves perfect for healthy, delicious, grass fed and finished beef production.
